2026 21st China Intelligent Transportation Conference

 (ITSAC 2026)



To all relevant organizations and individuals:

The 21st China Intelligent Transportation Conference 2026 (ITSAC 2026) is one of the most comprehensive, influential, and forward‑looking annual events in China’s intelligent transportation sector. In order to fully leverage the conference’s role in academic leadership and industrial empowerment, enhance original innovation capabilities in the field, and support the high‑quality development of China’s intelligent transportation industry, we hereby invite submissions of scientific papers for the conference. The Academic Committee of this year’s conference will review all submissions. Accepted English‑language papers will be published by Springer‑Verlag in its Lecture Notes in Electrical Engineering series and indexed by EI Compendex. Accepted Chinese‑language papers will be compiled into a proceedings volume for exchange at the conference and will be indexed by CNKI (China National Knowledge Infrastructure) and Wanfang Data. The details of the call for papers are as follows:

Scope of Topics
Intelligent driving, smart highways, intelligent railways, smart shipping, smart civil aviation, urban transport, smart logistics, traffic safety, and integrated three‑dimensional transport, etc.

(1) Intelligent Driving
Intelligent driving information perception and prediction, intelligent driving decision‑making and control, end‑to‑end autonomous driving technologies, human‑machine interaction and intelligent cockpits, testing, evaluation and certification of intelligent driving, vehicle‑to‑vehicle / vehicle‑to‑infrastructure communication and cooperative vehicle‑infrastructure systems, commercial vehicle autonomous driving and intelligent freight transport, etc.

(2) Smart Highways
Collaborative vehicle‑road‑cloud integration applications, free‑flow tolling systems for highways, intelligent upgrading of highway infrastructure, smart service area construction, highway big data and intelligent sensing, intelligent maintenance and condition monitoring, green energy supply for major corridors and heavy‑truck freight services, etc.

(3) Intelligent Railways
Intelligent train control and autonomous train operation, intelligent dispatching and transport coordination, intelligent maintenance and full‑life‑cycle health management, railway digital twins and digital engineering, intelligent railway inspection and safety assurance, new‑generation railway communication and integrated positioning, intelligent passenger services and multi-modal transport, high‑speed train intelligent equipment and dynamic control, green and low‑carbon intelligent railway operation, etc.

(4) Smart Shipping
Autonomous ship formation navigation, intelligent ship dispatching, ship‑shore coordination and intelligent ship perception, smart ports and unmanned operations, port digital twins and multimodal transport coordination, shipping logistics digitalisation, intelligent waterway monitoring and navigation safety, green and smart shipping with low‑carbon operation, shipping big data and intelligent decision‑making, etc.

(5) Smart Civil Aviation
Intelligent air traffic management, advanced communication / navigation / surveillance technologies, intelligent airline dispatching and operation control, intelligent airport operation and services, low‑altitude airspace intelligent planning, low‑altitude logistics, low‑altitude safety, etc.

(6) Urban Transport
Intelligent inspection and diagnosis of transport infrastructure, traffic control and organization optimization, digital twins for traffic engineering and construction‑maintenance coordination, full‑life‑cycle intelligent management of infrastructure, intelligent urban rail and new maglev systems, urban low‑altitude transport, intelligent public transport and smart bus services, shared mobility and Mobility‑as‑a‑Service (MaaS), smart parking, non‑motorized traffic intelligence and travel experience optimization, etc.

(7) Smart Logistics
Intelligent trunk transport and multi-modal transport, urban logistics intelligence and last‑mile delivery, supply chain collaboration and visualization, vehicle‑road coordination and smart freight infrastructure, smart logistics park planning and operation, smart logistics platform and ecosystem operation, smart warehousing and unmanned operation technologies, unmanned delivery and route optimization, logistics big data and intelligent decision‑making, cold‑chain and special logistics smart monitoring, integrated development of smart logistics and e‑commerce, green logistics and intelligent carbon footprint management, logistics information security, traceability and intelligent supervision, etc.

(8) Traffic Safety
Traffic accident prediction and safety evaluation, accident causation analysis and risk tracing, traffic behaviour identification and safety warning, traffic safety monitoring and emergency response, safety supervision of intelligent vehicles, water and airspace traffic safety control, resilient transport and safety risk prevention, etc.

(9) Integrated Three‑Dimensional Transport
Intelligent coordinated operation of integrated transport networks, air‑space‑ground‑sea integrated three‑dimensional transport network construction, low‑altitude transport systems (eVTOL / UAM), key technologies for new transport systems, cross‑mode intelligent dispatching, multi-modal transport organization optimization, intelligent integrated transport hubs, integrated Mobility‑as‑a‑Service (MaaS), integrated transport big data platforms, intelligent decision‑making for integrated transport, digital twins for integrated transport, full‑life‑cycle intelligent management of integrated transport, resilience assessment of integrated transport networks, low‑carbon transition pathways for integrated transport, etc.

Submission Guidelines
(1) Manuscript Requirements
Manuscripts must be unpublished, and may be written in either Chinese or English.
Papers must be authentic and original, and must not substantially duplicate any published paper or any paper that has been submitted to other journals or conferences and is under review.
Manuscripts should be prepared according to the paper format requirements (Attachments 1 and 2) and submitted in both Word and PDF formats.

(2) Submission Method and Deadline
Papers are to be submitted online at www.itsac.org.cn/submit. The deadline is 15 September 2026.

(3) Paper Acceptance
Official acceptance of papers involves a two‑stage evaluation process:
After passing the academic misconduct check, manuscripts will be reviewed by experts of the Academic Committee. Authors of provisionally accepted papers will be notified by SMS before 31 October.
Authors are required to present their papers at the conference. Final acceptance, publication and EI indexing will take place after the conference.

Important Notes
(1) Authors are solely responsible for the content of their papers and must not violate national laws, regulations or ethical norms.
(2) The Association reserves the right to edit manuscripts; authors with special requirements should state them in advance.
(3) Authors must not infringe upon the copyright of others in any way; any disputes arising from author infringement shall be borne solely by the author.
(4) All submissions will be checked for academic misconduct. Papers with a repetition rate or AI‑generation rate exceeding a certain threshold will be rejected, and those failing the format review will not be evaluated or accepted.
(5) The use of generative AI tools in the preparation of papers is permitted only for auxiliary purposes such as language polishing, literature retrieval, data organisation and analysis, and idea exploration. Authors are responsible for the use of generative AI in their papers and bear the corresponding legal and ethical liabilities.
(6) Funded projects or award‑winning projects should be indicated in a footnote, with the project number in parentheses.
